WAR: Bunker buster bombs

I came across a Bob Harris post which mentions how foolish the myth is of working bunker buster bombs. Afterwards, came across this link in his post, which points to a Union Of Concerned Scientists cartoon.

All of Pakistan, and parts of northern India will be affected by the nuclear fallout.

To those who have been sleeping inside a cave. Seymour Hersh has something to say about a imminent Iran attack and the US preparations.

The Parsi community in India is descended from a bygone era of the old day Iran i.e Persia. The Parsis have contributed greatly to India's growth. The House of Tatas, numerous merchant families, numerous scientific people Homi Bhabha, Vikram Sarabhai...Why the current people in power in India, the Gandhi family, are somewhat Parsi! Rahul Gandhi's paternal grandfather was a Parsi.

Sy Hersh is stating that nobody is listening to the military guys, who counsel diplomacy. Iran is a Shia nation, and I think they look even more fierce than the Sunnis, especially doing Matam! Shias are no stranger to martyrdom and suffering.

Finally, Masood Mortazavi mentions that rarely do we break a self-imposed taboo on politics...

Indira Gandhi, daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru, became prime minister of India in 1966. Mrs. Gandhi was born on November 19, 1917 to Jawaharlal and Kamala Nehru. She was named Indira Priyadarshini Nehru. She fell in love and decided to marry Feroze Khan, a family friend. Feroze Khan’s father, Nawab Khan, was a Muslim, and mother was a Persian Muslim. Jawaharlal Nehru did not approve of the inter-caste marriage for political reasons (see http://www.asiasource.org/ society/indiragandhi.cfm). If Indira Nehru were to marry a Muslim she would loose the possibility of becoming the heir to the future Nehru dynasty. At this juncture, according to one story, Mahatma Gandhi intervened and adopted Feroze Khan, gave him his last name (family name/caste name) and got the name of Feroz Khan changed to Feroz Gandhi by an affidavit in England. Thus, Feroze Khan became Feroze Gandhi. Though Mahatma belonged to Bania/Gandhi caste (a business tribe) the proposal was acceptable to Nehru for political reasons. Indira Nehru married Feroze (Khan) Gandhi in 1942 and became Indira Gandhi, which helped her politically as daughter of Nehru (the first Prime Minister of the Indian Union) and daughter–in-law of Gandhi (the father of the nation) securing her place in the future Nehru-Gandhi dynasty (based on swordoftruth.com). Another story, according to Mr. Arvind Lavakare in a personal communication to me, is that Feroz had a Parsi father whose surname was "GHANDI" not "GANDHI". That was made clear by an advertisement in a major English newspaper of Allahabad. It was Mahatma Gandhi who suggested to Nehru that Feroze's surname be spelt as "GANDHI" instead of the original "GHANDI". An RSS columnist wrote that "Ghandi's" mother was a Muslim, and since an offspring takes on the religion of its mother, Feroz ought to be considered a Muslim.

Interesting if true. But I don't blame her because she did what she really wanted.

The Nehrus/Gandhis have been allowed a long time to come to grips with India's problems, and they haven't done a lot, except maybe for Rajiv. We see the same plot being acted out with Sonia thrusting her son and daughter into politics.

Ineresting story about Feroze Khan. I'd never heard it before.

By the way, "Ghandi," if it was one of Feroze ("Victor") Khan ("Master") 's titles, means one who does (business or has something to do with Ghand ("Sugar").

Since you'd also mentioned Shiite Islam, I thought I should include this quote: "Imam Husain's sacrifice is for all groups and communities, an example of the path of rightousness." (Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru)

I dont know if he was feroze khan or not but i am certain that he was not parsi.
Lets see the number of parsis is small, so any one should be able to track feroze's parsi ancestory
which becomes easy.
I have read 4 biographys of nehru
2 of ms gandhi and skimmed through
7 more and i have never been able to find details of ferozes family.
Now why is it that no one can find who they are, for the reason that
feroze and ms gandhi hid who they were.
I do blame Indira and Nehru for lying. If they feel comfortable marrying a muslim they should have been comfortable with that fact in public.
